Hanlon Elementary School

Welcome to Hanlon!  I am excited and looking forward to another great year.  It is our goal to provide the most positive and caring environment possible so that our teachers can teach, and our students can fulfill their potential for academic and personal growth.  Due to the continuous hard work and dedication from both our students and staff, Hanlon Elementary was once again selected as a “New York State High Performing School.”  We are very proud of this honor and look to continue to strive for excellence.  

Students, you will receive a strong foundation of instruction based on the New York State Learning Standards in mathematics, language arts, science, and social studies with specialized instruction in art, music, library, and physical education.  You will have a very caring and supportive staff that will encourage you as a learner and share with you their contagious love of learning.  They will take the extra steps to make sure your year at Hanlon is challenging, exciting, and enjoyable.

The Hanlon community would like to encourage parents to take an active interest in their child’s education and overall school life.  If you have questions and/or concerns, we want to hear from you.  Please let your child know that you care about his/her education by being supportive and participating in school activities.  These are crucial years for children; therefore we all need to work cooperatively to make this year productive and positive.  We look forward to working with you and your most treasured resource……..your child.
