Last week and this week Hanlon 5th and 6th grade students got to experience virtual reality (VR) and drone soccer demonstrations provided by GST BOCES. Students will have the opportunity to join the OM Drone Soccer Club in the fall!

On May 20th Hanlon Elementary students participated in career day. Students were introduced to a variety of careers such as: nursing, social work, astronomy, veterinary medicine, banking, DEC officer, mayor/politics, physical therapy, teaching, small business owner, and police. Students learned about each profession and even got to try some hands-on activities. Thank you to all our presenters!

Our 4th Graders enjoyed a field trip to the Lee School in Montour and learned what school was like in the early 20th century.

Please join us for our Fine Arts Night on Tuesday, May 20. The Art Show starts at 5:30 with the concert to follow at 6:00.

🎶🎉 Huge shoutout to our talented 4th grade chorus and band! They rocked their showcase performance and blew us all away! 👏👏 Their hard work, dedication, and skill truly shone through. So proud of these young stars! ⭐ Keep shining bright, kiddos! 🌟 #4thGradeStars #ChorusAndBand #TalentOnDisplay #ProudMoment

Starting Monday, March 17 through Friday, March 28, Hanlon Elementary will be hosting an exciting attendance challenge! The class with the best overall attendance will win basketball time in the gym with The Grizz. Research shows that students with consistent attendance are more likely to perform better academically, with a 90% attendance rate often correlating to higher grades and test scores. While we encourage great attendance, please remember that students should stay home if they are sick. To ensure everyone's health, students must be fever-free and free of vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours before returning to school.

Join us for our spirit week March 17 - March 21!

Please join us for the Hanlon Art Show and Winter Concert tonight. The Art Show starts at 5:30 P.M. The concert will begin at 6:00 P.M.
