Earlier this week, Hanlon students had the opportunity to explore the world without leaving the classroom through immersive virtual reality experiences. One group of students journeyed deep into the Amazon Rainforest, discovering its unique ecosystems and wildlife, while another group traveled to the Great Wall of China, gaining a firsthand look at one of the world's most remarkable historical landmarks.
These engaging experiences helped students make meaningful connections to their curriculum while expanding their understanding of geography, history, culture, and the natural world.

Each year, the IAC recognizes two student-athletes from every member school who exemplify outstanding character, sportsmanship, leadership, and integrity both in competition and within their school community.
Rilke and Connor have consistently demonstrated the qualities of respect, responsibility, and positive citizenship, serving as excellent role models for their peers both on and off the field.
We are proud to celebrate this well-deserved recognition. Congratulations, Rilke and Connor! 🎉🐻

This week, students in grades K–8 have the opportunity to experience the STARLAB through a partnership with GST BOCES Instructional Support Services. This immersive, hands-on learning experience allows students to explore constellations, planets, and the night sky while deepening their understanding of astronomy, space science, and scientific observation right here at school.
Through interactive exploration of constellations, planets, and the night sky, students are building connections to science curriculum concepts while developing curiosity, critical thinking, and inquiry skills in a hands-on learning environment. 🚀✨

Growing Sustainability Here at Odessa-Montour 🌱🐛🐥
Our students are getting a hands-on lesson in agriculture, sustainability, and the power of innovative thinking through collaboration between the classroom and the Grizzly Grub Hub!
Instead of letting spoiled or unused food go to waste, we’re turning it into opportunity:
➡️ Food scraps are used to feed mealworms
➡️ Mealworms become a sustainable protein source
➡️ Those mealworms help nourish baby chicks in Ms. Walsh’s classroom 🐥
There's more!...
➡️The shredded paper for the chicks comes from the Main Office
This full-circle system shows students how waste can become a resource, connecting real-world agriculture practices with environmental responsibility.
Through this experience, students are learning:
✅ The importance of reducing food waste
✅ How ecosystems and food chains work
✅ Responsibility and care for living things

BCC students had a blast at our annual Fire Truck Day! Thank you to all that could attend!
