The Odessa-Montour Central School District congratulates the Schuyler Scholars from Odessa-Montour High School, representing the top 10% of the Class of 2025. Wednesday night, we had the pleasure of gathering with the other schools from Schuyler County to celebrate and hear advice from Mr. Ben Stamp for our scholars as they prepare for their next adventures. Our seniors enjoyed a trip to the Adirondacks last week! Some of the activities included a hike up Bald Mountain and white-water rafting.

Congratulations to Brody Williams who was recognized last night at the ESPN Sport Awards. Brody will be attending Hartwick to throw discus for their Track & Field Team.

On Thursday June 5th, the National Junior Honor Society inducted 25 new members. Congratulations to the following students on this outstanding achievement: Janne Anderson, Brooke Burns, Celeste Crane, Saskia Dechow, Karlee Fay, Michayla Fries, Ryan Hufford, Ian Lawton, Aydree Mace, Lilly Mace, Molly Mahaney, Avery Nolan, Paxton Porter, Grace Riker, Jackson Sangprakarn, Greyson Schock, Aspyn Skinner, Mason Smith, Riah Spang, Lexi Strobel, Brianna Turnmyre, Jeremy Updyke, Matthew Vanhorn, Hunter Watson, and Aries Yontz. The district is very proud of these new inductees and their display of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character.

Last week and this week Hanlon 5th and 6th grade students got to experience virtual reality (VR) and drone soccer demonstrations provided by GST BOCES. Students will have the opportunity to join the OM Drone Soccer Club in the fall!


Special Olympics Success!
Friday, May 30th was an exciting and unforgettable day for two of our amazing Odessa-Montour students, Jesse Bridges and Joseph Fraiser, who proudly represented OM at this year’s Special Olympics!
Hosted by Corning-Painted Post, the event gave students the opportunity to shine and showcase their incredible athletic skills. Both of our athletes participated in track and field events—with one earning 2nd place and the other bringing home 3rd place!
The day was filled with fun, joy, and overwhelming enthusiasm from our athletes, teachers, and supporters. We couldn’t be prouder of their hard work and positive spirit.

Ethan Nolan shot 85 and finished 4th in the IAC small school Championship at Soaring Eagles. The OM team finished 6th - two spots higher than in 2024. Congratulations to our Grizzlies!


On May 20th Hanlon Elementary students participated in career day. Students were introduced to a variety of careers such as: nursing, social work, astronomy, veterinary medicine, banking, DEC officer, mayor/politics, physical therapy, teaching, small business owner, and police. Students learned about each profession and even got to try some hands-on activities. Thank you to all our presenters!

Odessa-Montour CSD budget vote and Board of Education election is on May 20th, 2025!


On Friday May 9th, BC Cate first graders hosted a Mother's Day tea! Students welcomed their family members and served them muffins, lemonade, and tea. Students also gifted their family member with a flower and gifts they had prepared for them.

Congratulations, Leah Antes, who was named as an honorable mention for this year's All-State Girls Basketball Team Class C. Go Grizzlies!
