The Odessa-Montour Central School District will be operating on a 2-Hour Delay, February 6th, as we monitor the Winter Weather Advisory.

Dear Grizzly Families,
The National Weather Service has issued a Cold Weather Advisory for our community, with colder temperatures anticipated to persist over the coming days. Throughout the holiday weekend, the facilities department of Odessa-Montour CSD has diligently inspected our campuses to ensure they are prepared for the arrival of students tomorrow morning.
Additionally, our transportation department is taking extra precautions to allocate additional time for students at their bus stops. To assist with timely bus routes, please wait for the bus in a warm location and promptly board when it arrives. Attached is a picture from the National Weather Service to guide students and families in dressing appropriately for the colder temperatures.
Student safety is paramount and as indicated in our student handbook, all recess activities will be conducted indoors during frigid temperatures.
Our district works closely with several municipalities to determine when we delay or close school. As always, we will make every effort to notify families as soon as possible if that is to occur.

O-M/WG Wrestler, Lucas Hoffman, scored his 100th win as a varsity wrestler on Thursday Night, contributing to the 52-14 team win over Spencer-Van Etten/Candor. Hoffman, who is a two-time NYS Qualifier and 4th Place finisher in 2024, earned his 100th win with a 17-2 Technical Fall. Go Grizzlies! #SchuylerStrong

In partnership with Corning Credit Union and Career Development Council, Seniors at Odessa-Montour Central School participated in Mad City Money. Mad City Money simulation where students were given fictional jobs, family, and debt and had to figure out how to budget for real-life challenges such housing, transportation, food, household necessities, clothing, day care, student loans, credit card debt, and medical insurance payments. Thank you to Corning Credit Union and to the community volunteers that make this program possible.
Congratulations to Wessly Aldrich, Khloe Dean, Karlee Fay, Addison Learn and Janne Anderson for their performances at Jr. High Area All State mixed choir and concert band! They rehearsed over 10 hours and produced a beautiful concert on Saturday afternoon! Special congrats to Khloe Dean for being chosen for a solo with the choir!
All 5 of our Odessa-Montour fall varsity sports teams received the NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete Team award for the 2024 season - Volleyball, Girls Soccer, Boys Soccer, Girls Cross-Country and Boys Cross-Country. This is award is given to teams with the top 75% of athletes having a cumulative GPA of 90 or above. Congratulations!
We are so proud of our senior, Dakota McLean, on his team and individual performances at the National Future Farmers of America Forestry CDE Competition. His team won Bronze and he as an individual also placed Bronze at Nationals. Congratulations!
