🚌 At Odessa-Montour, student safety is everyone's responsibility.

A safe trip to and from school starts before the bus arrives. Families can help by arriving at the bus stop a few minutes early and reviewing safe waiting and crossing habits with their children. Community members and drivers can do their part by slowing down near bus stops, staying alert, and always stopping for school buses with flashing red lights.

This evening, take a moment to ask your child: "What helps keep you safe on the bus and at the bus stop?"

When families, schools, and our community work together, we help ensure every Odessa-Montour student arrives safely and ready to learn.

🔥 Fire Prevention Week 🔥

This week, we are highlighting the importance of fire safety at school, at home, and throughout our community.

From checking smoke alarms and reviewing escape routes to practicing safe habits and knowing what to do in an emergency, preparation can make an important difference.

We encourage all Odessa-Montour families to take a few minutes this week to review a fire safety plan together.

A special thank you to the Schuyler County Emergency Management Office and our local fire and EMS departments for facilitating the Learn Not to Burn program for our students. Their partnership helps provide valuable fire safety education and preparedness skills that can make a lifelong impact.

Thank you for helping keep our Grizzly community safe! 🐻🔥
